The cast for ‘blank’ at The Hen and Chickens Theatre is coming together. The leading role of Penny will be taken by Katherine Rodden and Aunt Evelyn by Irene Bradshaw.
Irene Bradshaw has spent all of her life in the theatre as a performer, teacher and lecturer. She has numerous credits in stage, television and film. Some recent credits include Dusk, an experimental outdoor drama, for The Arts Council, Bad Education with Jack Whitehall and Doctors, both for the BBC, as well as Whitechapel 2 for Tiger Aspect and the feature film The Shouting Men for Purple Rogue productions. Everyone is thrilled to have Irene and her experience within the cast and just about everyone has learned something from the former teacher.
Katherine Rodden is a graduate of The Oxford School of Drama and is a petite, quirky redhead who works in theatre, film and radio and delivers defined, truthful and nuanced characters. Onstage she has been seen just this week in Not Now, But Now at Canal Cafe Theatre. Previously you may have seen her in Intercourse at The Arts Theatre, The Poel Event at The National Theatre, and also A Woman of No Importance… Or Somewhat Little Importance Anyhow at The Hen & Chickens. On-screen credits include: Blue Moon, Leaves of London, Fallen Angels, Cupcake and Article 12.
